The Hagley Library collections document the history of business, commerce, innovation, and consumption in American culture. We are recognized around the world as one of the preeminent institutions for the study of business history.
Companies represented in our collections include DuPont, Reading Railroad, Pennsylvania Railroad, Radio Corporation of America, Bethlehem Steel, Wawa Inc., Avon, Sperry-Univac, Remington Rand, MCI, Westmoreland Coal, Seagram, and thousands more.
Our collections of industrial designers include Raymond Loewy, William Pahlmann, Richard Hollerith, Marc Harrison, Thomas Lamb, Ken White, Marshall Johnson, and Irv Koons
We offer access and licensing of photographs and moving pictures. Selections of our material is available online at digital.hagley.org. We also offer consultation for content producers in search of photographs and footage.
