Description show/hide
The Copyright Registry at is a free service that enables copyright holders to register their creative works in a publicly accessible web site. Picture buyers and other users seeking to know who owns an image can simply click a browser bookmark at a web page containing the content file in question to display ownership information if that content is registered. C-Registry enables every copy of an image to link back to its creator, rights holder and/or agent, including from copies that are stolen, unattributed, altered or on web pages in non-English languages. Using pattern recognition, rights ownership is determined by comparing the file content with that which is registered. If the rights holder has entered their copyright registration number from the U.S. Copyright Office, one user click opens their official record in eCo (the Electronic Copyright process of the Copyright Office), associating that image, with the text-based governmental Copyright record.
