Gado Images Launches Visualizing the Valley Initiative

Gado Images launches a new initiative, Visualizing the Valley, to provide historical and contemporary imagery of Silicon Valley. The initiative will document the Valley from the 1920s through to the present, with a combination of historical photography/footage and up-to-the minute imagery capturing the Valley today. A major component of the initiative is a new partnership with the Silicon Valley Historical Association (SVHA), whose mission is to research and record the history of Silicon Valley. Visualizing the Valley materials are available for licensing to creatives worldwide.

British Airways Launch the i360 with Global Drone Footage by Airstoc

On 4th August 2016 British Airways are officially opening the world’s tallest moving observation tower. From the same team team that designed the famous London Eye, guests who take a ‘flight’ on the i360 will be treated to a 450 feet high and 360 degree spectacular view of Brighton and the coastline - which goes as far as 26 miles! Airstoc, working alongside Bartle Bogle Hegarty, a Global Advertising Agency, were commissioned to capture aerial footage from 14 locations across four continents to enhance the unique and exclusive experience inside the observation tower. The seaside views combined with this footage and impressive CGI effects will add up to a simply breathtaking experience.

British Pathé Reclaims North American Rights To Its Newsreel Collection

British Pathé, the world-famous newsreel archive, has this month reclaimed exclusive control over its historic collection in North America. This marks the first time in twenty-five years that all media professionals in these territories will be able to license footage from British Pathé directly rather than dealing with its former third-party representative, the WPA Film Library.

Treasures of the Celts from the Werner Forman Archive

With the opening of the latest British Museum exhibition, “Celts – Art and Identity,” there has been renewed interest in this mysterious and somewhat misunderstood people. Werner Forman (1921-2010) photographed many Celtic sites and artefacts for his fine book, “Celts of the West,” co-authored with Venceslas Krupa, and these images, including some of the most outstanding pieces exhibited in the British Museum show, are available for licensing from Werner Forman Archive.
